Each of the university's eight schools and the college admits its own graduate and professional students.

Some programs — including master's degrees and doctorates from Biomedical Sciences, Case School of Engineering and College of Arts and Sciences, as well as doctorates in nursing, social welfare and management — call for applications through the central School of Graduate Studies.

Meanwhile students apply for degrees from the School of Dental Medicine, Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, School of Law, Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, Mandel Center for Nonprofit Organizations, School of Medicine and Weatherhead School of Management, according to each school or program's requirements.

More than masters and doctorates

For more than a decade, U.S. News and World Report has named Case Western Reserve one of the nation's top universities and ranked many of our graduate and professional degree programs among the best in the country.

But a world-class education is about more than rankings. Case Western Reserve students learn in state-of-the-art classrooms, are mentored by renowned faculty and engage in groundbreaking research every day. And our unique urban campus enriches students' lives with a diverse community and a concentration of cultural, medical, educational and social service institutions like no other.

No program in mind? Students can enroll and partake in graduate courses as non-degree seekers. Already have a terminal degree? The School of Graduate Studies offers opportunities for postdoctoral training. Need to fund your graduate education? Visit the School of Graduate Studies for all the financial aid details and other information you need in the program of your choice.
