The Washington DC/Baltimore chapter of The Alumni Association of Case Western Reserve University has been a very active group for more than 20 years, and it includes alumni who have served on The Alumni Association's Board of Directors throughout the years. The chapter seeks to further the mission of the Alumni Association by fostering engagement of D.C./Baltimore area alumni through a variety of programs and events.
The D.C./Baltimore chapter actively participates in the Alumni Admission Ambassadors program and the Alumni Career Network. In fact, the D.C./Baltimore chapter will conduct more than 12 alumni admission interviews this school year alone as part of the alumni admission ambassadors program.
Additionally, the D.C./Baltimore chapter hosts a variety of alumni events with an event approximately every other month, including its signature event of the CWRU Ohio Congressional Delegation Reception each year at the Library of Congress. Other events include an annual St. Patrick's Day happy hour, visits to White Hall Vineyards in Charlottesville owned by former CWRU Trustee Tony Champ, combined events with other Ohio colleges and universities featuring Cleveland's own Great Lakes Brewing Company, joint events with the Case Alumni Association such as CWRU alum Don Thomas's talk on "Living and Working in Space,” and an annual baseball trip with brunch to see a baseball game.
