Case Western Reserve University and Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey, have instituted a wide-ranging exchange program. Bilkent, founded in 1984, is Turkey’s first foundation funded, non-profit institution of higher education. Its establishment set new standards for Turkish higher education. Situated just outside of Ankara, the capital of Turkey, Bilkent is an English-language university with over 10,000 students and faculty drawn from over forty countries. Its campus is the center of a community that includes residential areas, shopping, and recreational facilities.
