Mrs. Man-Lih Chai started to teach Chinese at Case Western Reserve University in the Fall of 2010. As an engaged teacher, she likes to set high standards with high expectations for her students. She loves to create activities that stimulate interest in the culture as well as the language.
Before coming to Case Western Reserve University she taught at several different institutions, including the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Boston Adult Education Center, Cleveland State University, Notre Dame College, and currently teaches Spanish at John Carroll University and Lakeland Community College. From 1989 to 2001 she taught and counseled groups of children from their first year of Chinese Academy of Cleveland to their last. She also developed an effective summer camp program for children; served as head of the Educational Committee and vice principal for several years.
