Carolina Perera, a native of Caracas-Venezuela, earned her LLB at the University Católica Andres Bello in 2001 (Caracas-Venezuela), and her MA in Spanish at the University of South Florida in 2007 (Tampa-Florida). Since Fall 2008, she is a Spanish Lecturer at the Modern Languages and Literatures Department at Case Western Reserve University. Her current interests include incorporating new technologies to language teaching, especially virtual worlds (Second Life) and 3D animations.

She is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M) in U.S. and Global Legal Studies at Case Western Reserve University, to have a better understanding of the Legal System in the U.S. and to teach a Spanish for Legal Professionals course in Spring 2010.
