Maria Strom, PhD (CSE '03, '05, '09)
Dr. Maria Strom is an Associate at a global management consulting firm. Dr. Strom focuses on the healthcare industry, specifically medical products where she leverages her expertise in cardiovascular diseases, product development/innovation, clinical trials and regulatory clearance. Previously, Dr. Strom was the Director of Scientific Affairs for CardioInsight Technologies – a medical device start up, where she built a clinical program, developed and led a team of field clinical engineers to execute a multi-center international study, and led the team through a due diligence process leading to the successful acquisition by a major medical device manufacturer. Dr. Strom has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters in the field of electrophysiology and holds several United States and international patents. Dr. Strom serves on Laurel School’s Head’s council and the Overseas Committee of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland. Dr. Strom earned her B.S.E degree, magna cum laude, and M.S.E and Doctoral degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
