Convocation is a formal academic ceremony when all prospective graduates/undergraduates gather to have their degrees officially conferred by the President of the University.
Please ensure you complete each of the following three steps for participation in the university-wide commencement convocation and the Weatherhead diploma ceremony.
You must have a valid Case Western Reserve University Network ID (eg.abc123) and password to register online.
STEP 1: This is a mandatory step even for those students who do not plan to attend commencement day events. Students must complete the application for graduation in SIS during the semester in which they plan to graduate. Please refer to instructions sent by Weatherhead registrar on the same. The SIS application for graduation for spring will be open from Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, to Friday, Jan. 31, 2014.
STEP 2: For Weatherhead graduate students that intend to participate in the Weatherhead diploma ceremony scheduled on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at 4:30 p.m. in Severance Hall, please complete the registration for this event at the link provided below. Registration for the Weatherhead diploma ceremony opens Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, and will end on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014.

STEP 3: All graduate and undergraduate students that intend to participate in the university-wide convocation scheduled on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at 9:30 a.m. in Veale Convocation Center, please complete the registration for this event at the link provided below. Registration opens Saturday, Mar. 1, 2014, and will end on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 5 p.m. EDT.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The university-wide convocation and Weatherhead diploma ceremony are independent of each other. The convocation is for all students and the Weatherhead diploma ceremony and Family Appreication Lunch are for graduate students of the Weatherhead School of Management.

This fair allows students to gather information pertaining to graduation and commencement activities. CMO, Alumni and External Relations, and Student Experience staff will be available to answer any questions.

University Convocation: Veale Convocation Center
This is a ticketed event. Each student can receive a maximum of 2 guest tickets. Guests not seated by 9:15 a.m. will be asked to wait until after the procession clears the aisles. Convocation is for all Case Western Reserve University students.

This event is open to all registered Weatherhead graduates and their guests.
Weatherhead Awards Ceremony: Tent next to the Peter B. Lewis Building

This event is open to all registered Weatherhead graduates and their guests. There are no tickets for this event. A kids tent will also be available with arts and crafts next to the luncheon tent, please note that children should not be left unattended.

This is a ticketed event. Please note that the Law School ceremony guests will be exiting as Weatherhead guests are arriving.

A professional photographer will take a picture of each graduate receiving his or her diploma. Family members and guests are encouraged to remain in their seats and enjoy the ceremony.
