Case for Community Day

what is case for community day?

Case for Community Day brings together the university's staff, faculty, students and alumni to make our community a better place.

Established by the Staff Advisory Council in 2002, Case for Community Day invites all members of Case Western Reserve to volunteer for the day and connect with our Greater Cleveland community.

The event, sponsored by the Center for Community Partnerships, offers participants a variety of activities, including community improvement projects, fun with co-workers, a luncheon and an end-of-day celebration.

The whole day is made possible by the generous support and collaboration of campus departments, including the Offices of the President and the Provost, University Relations, the Center for Civic Engagement and Learning, University Programs and Events, Facilities Services, Office of Graduate Studies, Office of Marketing and Communications, Office of Student Activities, Staff Advisory Council and our Charity Choice Federation Representatives.

Case Western Reserve University would like to thank each of our corporate sponsors for their generous support of Case for Community Day: Bon Appetit, Hopkins Transportation Service, Rascal House Pizza, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Sherwin Williams and Quiznos. This year, all volunteers receive tickets to visit the Rock Hall, courtesy of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. In addition, volunteers will have a chance to win gift certificates to:

  • Bricco's restaurant
  • House of Blues Cleveland
  • Picwick & Frolic
  • Sergio's
  • Overnight accommodations at The Alcazar
