The Inamori International Center for Ethics and Excellence at Case Western Reserve University will present the 2015 Inamori Ethics Prize to Martha C. Nussbaum.
Each year the Inamori International Center for Ethics and Excellence gathers the community to honor an international exemplar of ethical leadership with the Inamori Ethics Prize.
The 2015 ceremony will honor Martha C. Nussbaum, a philosopher and scholar whose work is frequently at the forefront of global ethical and moral concerns, including championing international women’s rights, marriage equality, animals rights, investment in developing nations, access to liberal education, social tolerance, democracy and global justice.
The symposium explores the theoretical and practical ramifications of the Inamori Ethics Prize recipient's work, achievements and areas of interest. The interactive discussion will be led by a panel that includes Peter Knox, Diana Strassmann and this year's prize winner, Martha C. Nussbaum.
