The Ceremony

Each year the Inamori International Center for Ethics and Excellence gathers the community to honor an international exemplar of ethical leadership with the Inamori Ethics Prize.

This year's ceremony will honor environmentalist David Suzuki, who has dedicated his academic and broadcasting career to the celebration of science and promotion of sustainability.

The ceremony offers audiences the opportunity to learn more about the Inamori Center, meet the director and witness the conferring of the Inamori Ethics Prize to the year’s recipient. Presentation of the prize citation and medal is followed by the Inamori Ethics Prize recipient’s public lecture, which covers the recipient’s work and ethical leadership, as well as the challenges of a global society.

An Academic Symposium, featuring the prize recipient as a member of a panel, precedes the ceremony. Refer to the full event schedule for times and locations.
