The Office of Faculty Development provides key resources across the University to strengthen the recruitment, advancement, retention, and quality of life for faculty members at all career stages at CWRU.
The office engages in four overlapping activities: career enhancement programming, community building, information dissemination, and partner hiring assistance.
- Career Development programs are created, or provided in collaboration with other offices, in response to the faculty climate survey results, priorities and recommendations of the Faculty Development Council, and upon request from department chairs.
- Community Building activities include Newcomers Welcome Group events like the annual picnic, wine tasting and other gatherings which give faculty a chance to meet colleagues from across the university.
- Information about polices, resources, programs is located on the website and in the Faculty Development Resource Brochure which is distributed annually.
- Partner Hiring Assistance for faculty and administrative staff partners/spouses is extended through our office.
