Jody Bonhard

Coordinator of Communications

Jody Bonhard oversees the strategy for and implementation of the center’s communication initiatives. Her main goal is to develop, manage and execute communication initiatives and events that articulate and support the center’s mission while creating momentum and awareness of all international activities.

Jody graduated from The Ohio State University with a BA in Spanish and a minor in English. She joined Teach for America in Kansas City after graduation, spent three years as a Spanish-immersion elementary teacher and earned her M.Ed. from the University of Missouri - Saint Louis. She moved to Medellin, Colombia for two years to teach at an international school before enrolling as an MBA student at Brandeis University, where she specialized in marketing. She moved back to Northeast Ohio after graduation and joined the Center for International Affairs staff in Fall 2015. Jody, a dual U.S.-German citizen, is passionate about international education and has lived, worked and/or studied abroad in Spain, Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina and Turkey.
