Why can't I view videos using a Mac with Snow Leopard?
There is a known issue with Snow Leopard Operating System running QuickTime 10 and Safari browser for online movie playback. To remedy the problem, please do the following:
1. Quit Safari
2. Go to Applications
3. Highlight Safari and click (command + i) so the info panel comes up
4. In the "General" panel check the box that says "32 bit"
5. Restart Safari and try the service.
If that does not work, you might have to consider using a different web browser. Contact the ITS Service Desk at 216.368.HELP for further assiatnce or visit lynda.com/support/faq.aspx?category=65&subCategory=-2 for details
Why do I have trouble using a 64 bit version of Internet Explorer with a 64 bit version of Windows 7, Vista or XP?
There are two steps you must take to get the videos to play on a 64 bit system.
You must use a 32 bit web browser. If you are currently using Internet Explorer please switch to the 32 bit version located on your computer at C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe. A shortcut can be made to this browser by right-clicking on the file and choosing "Create Shortcut." Move that shortcut to the location of your choosing (usually the desktop). Alternatively, you can use Safari, Firefox, Chrome, or another 32 bit browser.
