Intracranial Vertebral Artery Stenosis - Case 1

A 62 year-old woman presented with spells of slurred speech, vertigo, left facial numbness and ataxia.

Outline the Vertebral Stenosis

Intracranial Vertebral Stenosis: Cerebral Angiogram, Vertebral - Basilar; (Left) AP view; (Right) Lateral view. Note the high grade stenosis of the distal left vertebral artery, which was the cause of this patient's TIAs. This lesion was successfully reopened by placement of a stent, and the symptoms resolved.
