Middle Cerebral Artery Bifurcation Giant Aneurysm - Case 3

A 42 year-old woman developed headaches and slowly progressive left sided weakness over two months.

Outline the Aneurysm

Middle Cerebral Artery Giant Aneurysm. Cerebral angiogram: Right internal carotid artery injection; (Left) AP view; (Right) Oblique view. Note that the right MCA ends in a large dilated aneurysm. The size of the aneurysm here is actually smaller than on the MRI and MRA scans, due to the fact that most of the aneurysm is thrombosed, and thus not opacified on the angiogram. ICA = internal carotid artery, MCA = middle cerebral artery, ACA = anterior cerebral artery.
