The PBRN Shared Resource Team

The lead investigators and Practice Enhancement Associates of the PBRN Shared Resource combine expertise to provide services to community-based clinicians and researchers.

The team members of the PBRN Shared Resource engage primary care practices, communities, and academic investigators in generating and answering questions relevant to everyday practice, working to diminish the difficulty of translating research into practice and ensuring that community perspectives are included in research.

Practice Enhancement Associates (PEAs)

Facilitating Collaboration

Practice Enhancement Associates (PEAs) are health professionals who develop relationships with clinical practices over a period of time in order to help evaluate and improve quality of care. A PEA also works closely with investgators and may function as a research assistant, helping make it possible for practices to participate in research projects initiated by the practice or undertaken by the network.
