Rainbow Research Network (RRN)
The recently rejuvinated Rainbow Research Network is a consortium of 216 pediatric primary care physicians in 81 practices affiliated with Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital of Cleveland.
The RRN is committed to the following goals:
-Promote opportunities for pediatric clinical faculty members to participate in research
-Facilitate and promote opportunities for full-time faculty to conduct office-based research
-Increase collaboration and a sense of partnership among pediatric department faculty and pediatric community clinicians.
The network has focused on reducing childhood obesity, diagnosing and treating otitis media, and diagnosing behavioral problems in children.
It's most current work includes adhering to newly recommended developmental screening guidelines as well as assessing practitioner level of comfort with standardized screening tools.
The Network is led by Robyn Strosaker, MD, Associate Director of the Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital Pediatric Residency Program and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics. The 10-member Steering Committee convenes quarterly to review proposed research projects and share new knowledge generated from office-based research.
Andrew Garner, MD also represents the Rainbow Research Network.
