The Program on Society and Health at Case Western Reserve University addresses the challenges and opportunities societies face in the realm of health, medicine and public policy as their populations age, information and molecular sciences advance, and the environment deteriorates. These changes and many others are creating a set of issues that are too complex to be grasped within the framework of a single academic discipline. The Program aims to create conversations on these issues that transcend the boundaries that divide science and medicine from the humanities and social sciences within the modern university, and these scholarly communities from the broader public.
