School Named International Center of Excellence for Malaria Research

Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine has been chosen to lead an International Center of Excellence for Malaria Research by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. The designation includes a $7.9-million grant to help control and eliminate malaria in Southeast Asia and the Southwest Pacific.

James Kazura, MD, professor of international health and medicine and director of the Center for Global Health and Diseases, will lead the project.
