Jeffrey Janata, PhD, is the Director of the Behavioral Medicine Program and an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Reproductive Biology, Neurology, and Psychology for Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Janata earned his PhD from Case Western Reserve University in 1984. Dr. Janata's program provides services such as intervention in patients with pain, diabetes, cancer, sexual issues, infertility, eating disorders, obesity and stress-related illness. Dr. Janata studies the non-medical contributions to medical illness presentations, such as disincentives to improvement, fabricated illness presentations and other psychological factors impeding return to health.
