engaging.
One thing that unites human beings is that we all had the same beginning. A primary goal of the Institute for the Science of Origins is to uncover exactly what that beginning might have been.
The institute organizes and sponsors events at the university, as well as with its partners, that engage the community in a discussion about origins topics. While many of these events are intended for academic audiences, everyone is invited to join the celebration.
Beginning in Fall 2008, Case Western Reserve University and the institute have observed the Year of Darwin—the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of his seminal work The Origin of the Species—with lectures, talks and presentations.
