INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S GROUP (IWG)

As of the fall 2012, there are 207 international female students enrolled in programs at the School of Graduate Studies and 310 international female students enrolled in various professional programs.

The International Women's Group is a joint initiative of the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women, International Student Services and University Counseling Service. Our goal is to bring international graduate women students together at our social events, workshops and through our mentoring program.

Mentoring Program

The IWG mentorning program is a one-to-one program for international female graduate and postgraduate students.

IWG Welcome Dinner
Thursday, October 18

The Welcome Dinner is an opportunity for mentors and mentees to meet for the first time and create a plan for the upcoming year.

 

IWG Roundtable Discussion
Friday, November 16
12:30-2:00pm, Spartan Room

At the Roundtable Discussion, mentees will have the floor to talk about common issues that affect graduate and professional women at Case Western Reserve University and/or the Cleveland area.

 

IWG Networking lunch
Friday, January 25
12:30-2:00pm, Spartan Room

The Networking Lunch is an event for mentees to interact with their mentors and other pairs in the program.

 

Job Shadowing
February
If the opportunity is available, mentees will schedule at least one job shadowing experience with their mentor to gain some hands-on knowledge.

 

IWG International Spring Dinner
Wednesday, April 17
6:00-7:30pm, Spartan Room

To conclude 2012-2013, pairs will gather one more time for the International Spring Dinner to celebrate culture and reflect on the year.
