Multimillion-Dollar, Multi-Year Commitment Creates a Medical Education Pipeline

Case Western Reserve University will be an essential partner in a medical education pipeline created and supported by the Joan C. Edwards Charitable Foundation. An initial investment of $10 million to $12 million over 10 years will establish an endowment for full-tuition scholarships for students from the Cleveland Metropolitan School District's Cleveland School of Science and Medicine at the John Hay Campus to earn bachelor's and medical degrees at Case Western Reserve.

Five Trustees Pledge More than $6 Million to Case Western Reserve University

At the February Board of Trustees dinner, Chair Charles "Bud" Koch announced a total of more than $6 million in new leadership gifts from five Case Western Reserve University trustees. While individual donors have chosen to remain anonymous, the impact of their collective philanthropy on student, faculty and programmatic support will be evident on campus for generations to come.

Life Insurance Policy Ensures Continued Access to Mental Health Services

Colleagues, peers and community members initiated the School of Medicine's L. Douglas Lenkoski Professorship in Psychiatry in honor of L. Douglas Lenkoski, MD (MED '53), a former chair of the School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry. Lenkoski has since supplemented the professorship by naming Case Western Reserve as the owner and beneficiary of his life insurance policy.
