Grant Will Fund Collaborative Research

A $3 million grant from the Richard J. Fasenmyer Foundation will fund HIV research by a pair of nationally renowned experts who were among the first to study the virus: Michael Lederman, MD, of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and University Hospitals Medical Center, and Leonard Calabrese, DO, of Cleveland Clinic.

Case Western Reserve University alumnus Thomas W. Seitz (CIT '70) and his wife, Nancy, have endowed a new chair that helps the Case School of Engineering build faculty expertise in priority areas. It is the first philanthropic investment in the university's Engineering Strategic Hiring Initiative.
