The Social Justice Institute team members represent a wide variety of disciplines and research interests and are always looking to expand their knowledge and extend the university's reach. To that end, the institute has established a grant-mining fund for seeding faculty research that advances social justice work from humanistic inquiry to action research. These grants will support proposals seeking to develop interdepartmental, multi-school collaborative initiatives. In the 2010-11 academic year, priority will be given to proposals that fall within the Social Justice Institute's debut East Cleveland collaborative.
