The Mandel School is home to three nationally recognized degree programs,
- Master of Social Work, which is ranked #9 in the nation and #1 in Ohio, is available in three formats: traditional on-campus, weekend and online.
- Master of Nonprofit Organizations, equips you with management and leadership skills to effectively lead staff and volunteers, respond to demands for accountability, design innovative and efficient solutions to society’s most pressing issues, and promote social responsibility.
- PhD in Social Welfare, offers doctoral students the opportunity to learn alongside a world-class faculty, engage in cutting-edge research and prepare for leadership roles in education, research and the human service sectors.
Master of Social Work: On-Campus
Immerse yourself in social work education, surrounded by people who share your commitment to a more just and inclusive society. Take full advantage of our world-class university and faculty, against a backdrop of a vibrant and welcoming city. You can also combine your social work education with a dual degree in bioethics, business, law, nonprofit management or public health.
- Complete the program in two years of full-time study (one year for full-time Advanced Standing students)
- Courses can be taken full-time or part-time

Build upon the strengths of your full time, social services career while pursuing graduate education in social work. Earn your full-time income while charting the course for a bigger career and social impact. Exercise the option of using your current place of employment as your field placement site.
- Complete the program in three years (two years for full-time Advanced Standing students)
- Meet in person, on campus, one weekend per month

We have been fostering Change Leaders for more than 105 years. For almost a decade, our online students have been earning the same nationally-ranked MSW degree as their on-campus counterparts. No campus visits are required to complete your degree, allowing you to balance the demands of work and family and open doors to more career opportunities and greater professional impact.
- Complete the program in 2.5 years of part-time study (or 2 years for part-time Advanced Standing students)
- Courses are 100% online
