Student Sustainability Council

Are you an undergrad interested in campus greening? Are you the person always looking for the recycling bins? Do you have innovative ideas and a vision for what’s possible? Are you curious about the university’s energy consumption or our green house gas emissions? Do you wonder where the food in the dining halls comes from? Is it healthy? Is it locally grown? If you’re looking for other people asking the same questions, than look no further than the Student Sustainability Council (SSC)!

Having a positive impact on campus and building leadership skills are just two great reasons for joining the SSC, an ad-hoc council of the Undergraduate Student Government. The SSC’s mission is to promote and develop a more sustainable mode of life for students and faculty on Case Western Reserve University's campus. It aims to create and implement innovative projects dealing with recycling, water conservation, "green" building policies, food waste reduction, and many other topics, work with faculty, staff, administration, and other student organizations to review, design, and implement new policies, practices, and procedures in order to accomplish a more sustainable lifestyle. For more information check out the SSC website.
