International Mosaic
Case Western Reserve has made global engagement a top priority in recent years, appointing David Fleshler as its first associate provost to launch and coordinate campus initiatives and creating a new Center for International Affairs.
Reflecting this emphasis, the Office of Enrollment Management enhanced its international recruiting, with impressive results.
Since 2007, the proportion of international undergraduates has nearly tripled, from 3 to 8 percent. In addition, the overall portion of global representation in enrollment— including graduate and professional students— has climbed from 12 to 17 percent. Today, the campus includes students from 80 countries. —BILL LUBINGER
