Marketing Communications

For all other marketing communications materials, there are no templates. There are, however, several guidelines to follow:

  • Refer to the prior guidelines on acceptable usage of the School of Medicine and UHCMC logos.
  • If you want to create communications materials that have BOTH the School of Medicine and UHCMC logos on the cover or opening page, then these materials MUST use "neutral" branding. These materials CANNOT be branded either CWRU or UH (i.e., no element of either brand (colors, fonts, etc.) should be used in creating these materials). Neutral branding ensures that neither brand is diluted in the creation of these materials.
  • If you want to use only the UHCMC logo (or other UH logo) on the cover or opening page, then you should follow UH brand guidelines. If the publication you are creating includes research from the School of Medicine, then you MUST include the following language IN A PROMINENT POSITION beneath the logos of both CWRU and UHCMC:

The commitment to exceptional patient care begins with revolutionary discovery. UH Case Medical Center is the primary affiliate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, a nationally recognized leader in medical research and education. As faculty of the CWRU School of Medicine, UH Case Medical Center physicians are advancing medical care through innovative research and discovery that bring the latest treatment options to patients.

Neutral branding MUST be applied for this purpose (i.e., only this section needs to use neutral branding. The remainderof the communications material can follow UH brand guidelines). For an example of how this looks, click here.

  • All research (except industry-sponsored) should be credited to the School of Medicine. All clinical activities and industry-sponsored research should be credited to UHCMC.
