Important UTech Maintenance and Upgrades

PeopleSoft Financials
PeopleSoft Financials (case.edu/fin) will be unavailable from 2:00 to 5:00 am on Wednesday, December 21. During this time, engineers will perform maintenance to the system.

HCM
The Human Capital Management (HCM) system will undergo planned maintenance from 3:00 to 6:00 am on Saturday, December 24. During this timeframe, HCM will be unavailable.

Software Center
The [U]Tech Software Center has upgraded ChemOffice (Windows) and ChemDraw (Mac) Professional to version 16. Students, faculty and staff may download this upgraded version for free. These licenses will expire on June 28, 2017.

ChemDraw® and ChemOffice® 16 deliver all the functionality of version 15, plus new feature additions to accelerate research even faster. Plus, new bundle options pair the leading chemical drawing package with our chemically intelligent database, 3D modeling and data analysis package, visualization tools and integrated ELN solutions.

Sparta
Sparta PreAward (sparta.case.edu) will be unavailable from 6:00 am on Tuesday, December 27 through 8:00 am on Thursday, December 29 in order to complete a system upgrade. This upgrade will allow for the application and the Grants.gov system-to-system connection to remain fully supported by CWRU's vendor. With Sparta PreAward being unavailable during this timeframe, users need to ensure that any proposal or Sparta supported activities are completed prior to the schedule below to allow PreAward Office time to process user requests. In addition, if an emergency should arise during this time, users need to contact their PreAward Office at the following email:

Activity for the School of Medicine (SOM) (contact medres@case.edu) Friday, December 16th
Activity for all schools excluding the SOM (contact resadm@case.edu) Wednesday, December 21st

SpartaCOI will not be affected.

UTech apologizes for any inconveniences these upgrades and maintenance activities may cause. For questions or requests for help with any technology needs, please contact the [U]Tech Service Desk at 216.368.HELP (4357) or help@case.edu.
