Relaxation Resources

Take a breather.

Whether you’re getting adjusted to life on campus, at the height of a deadline-driven project or simply dealing with the issues that arise, day in and day out, it’s important to take time to relax.

Case Western Reserve University offers multiple resources, including the RELAX Line and online guided relaxation exercises.

RELAX Line

By calling 216.368.3999, you can access five different meditations designed to help you refocus, refresh, rejuvenate, renew and restore. (For best results, call from an on-campus phone.)

Each meditation ranges from one to 15 minutes; choose the one that best suits your needs for the day, or do multiple to gain even more benefit.

Guided Relaxation Exercises

Staff members from University Health & Counseling Services have recorded guided relaxation exercises on a variety of topics, ranging from anxiety to loneliness, public speaking to body image.    

Based on Edmund Jacobson's popular and effective Progressive Muscle Relaxation technique, the relaxation exercises each range between six and 16 minutes.
