Case Western Reserve University, School of Dental Medicine, Department of Endodontics, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time (4 days/week) faculty position who through their research, teaching and service will be an asset to the department and the university. This is a tenure-track position.
Responsibilities of the selected individual will include teaching postgraduate and predoctoral students as assigned and approved by the Chair of the Endodontic Department. The duties may include preclinical and clinical education, lectures, endodontic seminars and literature review, clinical supervision of patient care and supervision of the research activity of the graduate students towards fulfillment of their Master of Science (MSD) degree. The ability to act as a Statistician, developing statistical designs, performing interpretation and calculations is highly desirable.
Expectations also include good working relations with students, faculty and staff, and participation in all academic activities as assigned by the Chair, and participation/attendance in Dental School/Departmental/Committee meetings. The individual should have strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and collegiality. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for performing other duties and assuming additional responsibilities as assigned by the Department Chair.
Applicants must have a Certificate in Endodontics from a Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accredited institution, and it is highly desirable that they are Board Certified by the American Board of Endodontics (ABE) or educationally qualified and pursuing Board Certification by the American Board of Endodontics, and must hold a D.D.S./D.M.D. or equivalent degree.
