Assistant/Associate Professor in Prosthodontics (tenure-track) - Department of Comprehensive Care

The Department of Comprehensive Care in the School of Dental Medicine at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in pre-doctoral education of fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics as well as digital dentistry. DMD comprehensive care clinical activities including but not limited to fixed, removable and implant dentistry will be the focus of this position. Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities and Duties:
The applicant’s teaching responsibilities will include didactic, preclinical, and clinical instruction in the DMD and AEGD programs.

There will be an opportunity for half-day of faculty practice.

Minimum Qualifications for Candidate:

⦁    Must have a DDS/DMD or equivalent degree and be eligible for licensure in Ohio

Preferred Qualifications for Candidate:

⦁    Previous experience with teaching in an academic setting is preferred
⦁    Previous experience with Prosthodontics research is preferred
⦁    Preference will be given to candidates who are in this order

  • 1) board certified in Prosthodontics,
  • 2) graduates of a CODA-accredited advanced education program in Prosthodontics, or
  • 3) have specialty certificates or terminal degrees in Prosthodontics

Required Qualifications for Candidate:

⦁    Successful candidate must be able to teach in didactic, simulation and clinical courses in removable, fixed, and implant prosthetic dentistry, as well as digital dentistry.
⦁    Successful candidate must have demonstrated experience and expertise with all aspects of restorative and digital dentistry.
