Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine and University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center are seeking an exceptional candidate to serve as Chief of the Division of Hematology-Oncology in the Department of Medicine.
University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center is an affiliate of Case Western Reserve University and the primary academic medical center for the University Hospitals Health System, a top 10-rated (Thomson Reuters) integrated health network located in Northeast Ohio with eight wholly owned community medical centers, seven ambulatory health centers, and a network of greater than 400 primary care physicians. Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine is noted for its strong collaborations between basic and clinical science departments and is committed to premier basic, translational and clinical discovery science. Division faculty and programs are supported by the nationally recognized University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center, which serves as a major affiliate of the National Cancer Institute designated Case Comprehensive Cancer Center.
The successful candidate will have an outstanding record of scholarly achievements, clinical excellence, and sustained research funding, along with proven leadership, mentoring and administrative abilities. All areas of research related to the biology and treatment of cancer and blood disorders will be considered including clinical/translational, basic and outcomes based research. Applicants should qualify for the rank of Professor or Associate Professor at CWRU. A strong commitment to building inter-disciplinary programs is expected with other Centers at UH/CWRU, the Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the MetroHealth Medical Center.
