Full-Time Faculty Position (open rank, non-tenure track) - Department of Orthodontics

Case Western Reserve University, School of Dental Medicine, Department of Orthodontics, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time (2.5 days/week) faculty position. This position requires significant contributions to the department’s mission of teaching and service. Salary and academic rank will be consistent with the candidate’s experience level. This is a non-tenure­ track position. 

Responsibilities of the selected individual will include teaching postgraduate and predoctoral students as assigned and approved by the Chair of the Orthodontic Department. Duties may also include preclinical and clinical education, lectures, orthodontic seminars and literature review, clinical supervision of patient care and supervision of the research activity of the graduate students towards fulfillment of their Master of Science (MSD) degree.

Expectations include experience working with students, faculty and staff, and participation in all academic activities as assigned by the Chair, and participation/attendance in Dental School/Departmental/Committee meetings. The individual should have good communication skills and a commitment to an academic career in orthodontics. Applicants must have a Certificate in Orthodontics from a Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accredited institution, and it is highly desirable that they are Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) or educationally qualified and pursuing Board Certification by the American Board of Orthodontics, and must hold a DDS/DMD or equivalent degree.
