Instructor and Co-Director of Didactic Education - Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine

Case Western Reserve University, Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a junior-level faculty position: Co-Director of Didactic Education. This is a non-tenure track position at the rank of Instructor, with time split equally between administrative and reaching duties. This position is a full-time academic position within the confines of the Washington, DC-based Master of Science in Anesthesia Program of Case Western Reserve University.

Responsibilities and Duties: The Co-Director of Didactic Education is responsible for coordinating the teaching responsibilities of MSA Program faculty for all didactic courses, including directly teaching several courses. The person in this position will take an active role in guiding and supporting faculty in the development and delivery of didactic courses and provide substantive guidance for the overall didactic program design and curriculum development for the MSA Program in Washington, DC. This person will ensure that activities comply with university, school, and program policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications: Qualified applicants must be a certified anesthesiologist assistant (CAA) with a graduate degree and actively practicing as an CAA in a clinical setting. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years teaching experience, with the ideal candidate possessing 7 or more years teaching experience. Excellent management, clinical, education, organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills are essential. Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary.
