Instructor, Department of Medicine - School of Medicine

The Department of Medicine in the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine at University Hospitals seeks to hire an Instructor. Candidate should hold a MD or PhD degree with significant post-doctoral fellowship experience (5+ years) in Biomedical Engineering or related disciplines.  Of particular interest are candidates with experience in the development and translation of micro and nano systems-engineered technologies for point-of-care testing, rapid diagnostics, gene therapy and precision engineering. (S)he is expected to develop highly innovative and commercially competitive systems and technologies that can be applied to unmet clinical needs in different research areas including infectious disease, blood research and pathology, cardiovascular disease, neurology and cancer. 

The successful candidate is expected to secure independent, extramurally funded research program, to actively contribute to the educational missions of the department and to engage in departmental, institutional, and professional service activates.
