Instructor of Medicine, Case Digestive Health Research Institute - School of Medicine

The Case Digestive Health Research Institute is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a faculty position at the rank of Instructor of Medicine. This is a non-tenure track position. The successful candidate will hold an MD, PhD, DVM, DVSc, or a combination thereof. Appointment at the level of Instructor will require evidence of progress towards a national reputation for research expertise, a record of publication, and a record of funded research.  

The area of particular research interest being recruited is Crohn’s disease and fungal infection; particularly, elucidating the role of specific fungal infection in intestinal inflammation in patients with CD. The successful candidate should demonstrate historical performance of murine endoscopy during research. Finally, the successful candidate shall hold an active NIH K-Series award, or a reviewed and favorably scored NIH K-Series award (impact score ≤20), which will cover 75% of their salary.
