The Case Digestive Health Research Institute is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a faculty position at the rank of Instructor of Medicine. This is a non-tenure track position. The successful candidate will hold an MD, PhD, DVM, DVSc, or a combination thereof. It is preferred the successful candidate also hold RD licensure. Appointment at the level of Instructor will require evidence of progress towards a national reputation for research expertise, a record of publication, and a record of funded research.
Areas of particular research interest being recruited are Crohn’s disease, environmental factors (particularly diet) impact on disease pathogenesis, gut microbiome, biomarker identification, and intervention. The successful candidate should demonstrate historical performance of clinical and murine research. Finally, the successful candidate shall hold an active NIH K-Series award, or a reviewed and favorably scored NIH K-Series award (impact score ≤20), which will cover 75% of their salary.
