CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITY seeks applications for a full-time non-tenure- track appointment at the Lecturer level in the Department of Religious Studies. The position will involve teaching four courses each academic year for the Program in Judaic Studies as well as serving as assistant director of the Program in Judaic Studies. The position, which will begin in Fall 2017, will be for a one-year appointment and is renewable for up to two additional one-year terms.
Preference will be given to a candidate with a specialty in folklore and/ or cultural studies with a strong background in Judaic Studies. The candidate must also have demonstrated success in teaching at the university level and will have a serious engagement with the methods and theories of the academic study of religion and culture. Ph.D. is required.
