Non-Tenure Track Assistant Professor - Department of Community Dentistry

The Department of Community Dentistry within the School of Dental Medicine, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, invites applications for a non-tenure track assistant professor faculty position in Community Dentistry’s Geriatric Division. The position is available starting January 23, 2017, and the search will remain open until the position is filled.

Primary responsibilities of the position include teaching in the Department of Community Dentistry, which includes but is not limited to the pre-doctoral curriculum at both clinical and preclinical levels. The Geriatric Division has a well-equipped dental van with 2 operatories in addition to several portable units; the successful candidate will supervise the student outreach rotations on the van. Working with other specialties, the establishment of a geriatric clinic within the dental school clinic is also anticipated.

Applicants must possess a D.D.S./D.M.D. degree from a CODA accredited school; and a M.P.H. degree is preferred but not required. Previous geriatric patient care as well as experience with underserved, vulnerable and medically complex populations is required. A record of geriatric dental training is preferred. Applicants must possess or be eligible for an unrestricted Ohio dental license. A strong record of clinical teaching is required as well as a commitment to interdisciplinary teaching, research and service. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
