POSITION OBJECTIVE

Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Department of Infectious Diseases, has an immediate opening for a post-doc position. This highly motivated individual will study the epidemiology, transmission, and immunology of Covid 19 in the nursing home setting.

 

We are looking for someone to lead the research at the nursing home study sites. This researcher will be knowledgeable about PPE and meticulous in following PPE protocols in the environment of COVID-1 + subjects.  He/she must be able to pass a N95 mask fit test.  Must have ability to perform respiratory swabs or be trained in this area.

 

The candidate should be able to work independently, read and critically interpret the literature, assist with designing and planning of projects, oversee collaborations, supervise students, and carry out research on the assigned project. Importantly, the post-doc must also work well with other team members. The qualified candidate will prepare manuscripts and contribute preliminary data, background and significance and experimental design for grant proposals.
