Postdoc fellow in Biostatistics/Bioinformatics/statistical genetics

Dr. Xiaofeng Zhu’s lab at the Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, has a postdoctoral position opening immediately.


The position will work on a project funded by NIH/NHGRI. The objective of the position is to develop novel statistical methods and computer software and analyze large scale biological data from UK Biobank data and NHLBI Trans-Omics for Precision Medicine, which include large genome wide association, whole genome sequencing and multi-omics data. The position will write manuscripts and present research work at scientific conferences.


Credentials and Qualifications: PhD in Biostatistics/Bioinformatics, Data Science, Computer Science, genetics or related field.
Preferred:
• Strong programming skills in languages such as R/Python
• Research background in biostatistics or statistical genetics
• Experience in any of following data analysis: genome wide association, whole genome sequencing, RNA-seq, epigenetics, proteomics, metabolomics etc.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
