The laboratory of Dr. William P. Schiemann in the Department of Biochemisty at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine has postdoctoal positions available to study breast cancer metastasis and metastatic dormancy. Our research is broad and includes interests in TGFbeta and cell signaling, cellular and metabolic plasticity related to CSCs, EMT programs, and telomere maintenance mechanisms. Additional interests are directed at understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying tumor heterogeneity, as well as interests in the epigenome, particularly chromatin remodeling and alternative splicing events driven by lncRNAs.
Candidates should have a recent Ph.D. or M.D. and a strong background in cell biology, signal transduction, biochemistry, or molecular biology. The position is available immediately and highly motivated candidates are asked to submit a Cover Letter, current CV, description of research interests, and the contact information of three references to: William P. Schiemann, Vice Dean for Research, School of Medicine <email@example.com>.
