Research Assistant 3 - Department of Genetics

Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH seeks Research Assistant 3 to plan and carryout studies on research projects with the goal of understanding cellular response to stress. Will maintain cell lines in animal models. Position requires Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Biology, Immunology or related field or foreign equivalent as determined by a credentials evaluation and 3 years of experience in basic cell and molecular biology techniques in a research environment. Experience to include performing cell culture of immortalized cancer and normal cells, preparation of normal cells from animal tissues, DNA and RNA extraction, clonogenic assay and survival in vitro assays, western blotting, handling of animals in a research setting, and isolation of islets from mice.
