Research Associate position in The Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine
The Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine has a Research Associate position available in the areas of biomedical health informatics for collaborative projects involving three biomedical research institutions. Successful candidates will have a Master’s degree in computer science, data science, or mathematics with strong software development, algorithm development, and big data technology skills.
The responsibilities of this position include developing new algorithms for data processing, querying, and analysis using computer science theory and programming languages for biomedical and health informatics applications. Develop and maintain software code for parallel and distributed computing platforms using version control tools and integrated development environments. Coordinate collaborations locally, nationally, and internationally. Present research results at conferences as appropriate.
The Candidate will have technical skills in 1) computer science and data science, including network analysis, algebraic topology algorithms, programming with complex data structures, and Web application development for graphical user interfaces. 2) Multi-modal data processing, analysis, and storage, including electrophysiological signal data and de-identified patient records.
