Research Associate position in The Department of Population & Quantitative Health Sciences at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine
The Department of Population & Quantitative Health Sciences at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine has three Research Associate positions available in the areas of biomedical informatics studies for a national collaboration with two other biomedical research institutions. Successful candidates will have at least 1 years’ experience in biomedical-related computer science, data science, informatics or systems biology with publications in computer science, biomedical informatics and in genetics, genomics or systems biology.
The responsibilities for this position include developing new computational methods for understanding disease mechanisms, drug discovery, gut microbiome, and health outcomes. Conduct original research in developmental of computational, statistical and related analytical methods. Coordinate collaborations locally, nationally and internationally. Present research results at national and international conferences. Write research papers and reviews.
The Candidate will have technical skills in computer science – data mining, machine learning, , pattern recognition, graph theory, networks, systems biology, knowledge representation and engineering, ontology. Strong computer science background and programming skills are critical.
