Senior Research Associate - Population and Quantitative Health Science

 

Senior Research Associate (SRA) – Assistant Director of CCHOR, in the Department of Population and Quantitative Health Science in the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine

 

The Department of Population and Quantitative Health Science at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine has a Senior Research Associate position available.  Successful candidates will have at least 10 years’ experience working in an academic setting with a PhD in Biological Sciences or equivalent. 

 

The Senior Research Associate (SRA) for the Cleveland Center for Health Outcomes Research will oversee research operations and provide scientific leadership for the Cleveland Center for Health Outcomes Research (CCHOR) and for the Barnholtz-Sloan research team.  The SRA will lead and coordinate the research for the CCHOR and Barnholtz-Sloan research teams, as well as will lead the evaluation and administrative priorities of all research projects.  The SRA will work closely with Dr. Barnholtz-Sloan to establish goals and objectives for the efficient and timely completion of research projects.  

 

The Candidate will have skills in 1) written and oral communications including grant and manuscript writing, 2) organization skills and attention to detail, 3) expert understanding of health sciences research, including multi-investigator, multi-disciplinary research, 4) Experience managing sponsored projects and grants, including but not limited to ability to use financial spreadsheets and accounting software, 5) demonstrated leadership and strategic planning in an academic setting, and 6) Working knowledgeable of confidentiality, research ethics and compliance requirements for human subjects research.
