The Department of Operations invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor for one year starting in August 2018. We seek a faculty member with a research focus in supply chain management (broadly construed). All candidates should have a PhD, or expect to complete a PhD, in the near future in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field. Our faculty is responsible for teaching in the following programs: Undergraduate, MBA, Master's (MSM) in Operations Research and Supply Chain Management and our new MSM program in Business Analytics. The ability to teach in a variety of these programs - especially the Master's in Business Analytics - is desirable. Having business experience, or other appropriate background to which business students can relate, would also be a plus.
The Department has a long and distinguished history and granted the first PhD in Operations Research. The Weatherhead School's MBA and Undergraduate programs are well ranked nationally and internationally. The University is ten minutes from downtown Cleveland and world-class cultural venues are within walking distance; excellent and affordable residential areas are close by.
Applicants should e-mail a curriculum vitae, copies of written research, and any evidence of teaching effectiveness (course evaluations, for example) and should arrange for at least three letters of reference to be sent electronically to Ms. Tedda Nathan at email@example.com.
