Visiting Professor and Interim Program Coordinator - School of Law

CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW invites applications for a one-year Visiting Professor and Interim Program Coordinator position, beginning July 2023. This may be renewed up to two additional years.

Successful candidates should have at least 15 years of full-time law school teaching experience in a wide variety of academic subject areas. They must include: Compliance Law, Risk Management, FDA Law, and Health Care Finance. The candidate should also be able to teach at least two of the following: Torts, Evidence, Sales, Family Law, Elder Law, and Professional Responsibility. In addition, applicants should be experienced in working with diverse student populations.  Candidates must have a JD from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice in Ohio.    

The visitor will teach four courses, which may vary each year, determined by the School’s needs as identified in the prior semester. Flexibility is required. The position includes administrative responsibilities in the new Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management Certificate and Master degree programs and may include some clinical teaching in addition to doctrinal teaching.

Applicants are also asked to submit a statement explaining how their research, teaching, and/or service have contributed to diversity, equity and inclusion within their scholarly field(s) and/or how their individual and/or collaborative efforts have promoted structural justice inside and outside institutions of higher learning. This statement should also reflect on the ways in which the candidate’s continued efforts will foster a culture of diversity, pluralism, and individual difference at Case Western Reserve University into the future.
